The LeisureCraft Canadian Timber CT Avalon Sauna arrives as a pre-engineered kit made from premium Eastern White Cedar. Its substantial log-wall construction, three-tier interior, large glass front, and standing-seam metal roof require careful site preparation and assembly. Electric heater connections must be completed by a licensed electrician, while wood-burning installations must follow the selected stove and chimney requirements.
Plan the installation carefully and have at least two capable people available for assembly. Follow the current LeisureCraft assembly instructions for foundation, wall, roof, glass, bench, and heater installation.
The Avalon Sauna package includes its Eastern White Cedar structure, three-tier bench system, bronze tempered glass door and front window, black standing-seam metal roof, assembly hardware, and installation instructions. Heater components are purchased separately.
Install the sauna on a stable, level surface such as a concrete pad, patio, deck, or compacted gravel base. Ensure proper drainage and allow enough clearance around the sauna for ventilation and maintenance access.
Unpack cedar panels, benches, door components, roofing materials, hardware, and accessories. Confirm all components are present before beginning installation.
Position the base supports, assemble the cedar wall sections, install the roof boards, and secure all components using the supplied hardware to create the insulated cabin structure.
Install the bronze tempered glass door, large front window, three-tier cedar benches, ventilation components, and any selected accessories. Confirm all interior components are secure before heater installation.
Install the selected electric sauna heater according to the manufacturer's requirements. The Avalon Cabin Sauna is designed for a 9 kW electric heater, and all electrical connections must be completed by a licensed electrician following local codes.
Run the sauna through an initial heating cycle before regular use. This allows the cedar to acclimate, removes residual moisture, and prepares the sauna for comfortable steam sessions.
The LeisureCraft CT Avalon Sauna supports both electric and wood-burning heater configurations. For electric heat, a 9 kW heater is recommended for the approximately 325 ft³ interior. Electric heater installations require a dedicated 240V connection and must be completed by a licensed electrician according to local codes and the heater manufacturer’s specifications. Wood-burning installations must follow the selected stove, chimney, heat-shield, and clearance requirements.
