The Harvia KIP80W is engineered for sauna rooms between 250 and 425 cubic feet, making it suitable for larger home saunas or spaces regularly used by multiple bathers.
Compared to 6kW versions, the 8kW KIP80W provides more heating power for bigger rooms, faster warm-up times, and better temperature stability in the upper end of its size range, while sharing the same footprint and dual-wall, wall-mounted design.
No. Sauna stones and the Xenio control are sold separately. The heater requires approximately 44–50 lbs of 2"–4" stones and a compatible Xenio control for time and temperature adjustment.
The KIP80W operates at 8000 W, 240 VAC, single phase, with a current draw of 33.3 A. It typically requires a 40 A circuit breaker and 8/2 + 14/2 AWG wiring, installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the Installation and Operation Manual and local codes.
Heat-up time depends on room size, insulation, and starting temperature, but the 8kW output and direct rock contact are designed to bring a properly built 250–425 cu. ft. room up to typical sauna temperatures efficiently and maintain steady, comfortable heat.
The KIP80W requires a minimum ceiling height of 75" (190 cm) and specific safety distances from walls and benches. All mounting heights and side/front clearances must follow the diagrams and instructions in the Installation and Operation Manual for safe use.
This heater includes a limited 1-year warranty for both consumer and commercial use. Warranty coverage is subject to proper installation, intended use, and adherence to Harvia’s guidelines detailed in the supplied warranty documentation.
