The Canadian Timber Polar Cold Plunge is delivered as a premium outdoor cold therapy tub with the interior liner pre-installed. Installation primarily involves positioning the tub, connecting the drain, and optionally installing a compatible Penguin or Coldture Pro chiller. Most homeowners can complete setup with basic tools, while electrical work for an optional chiller should follow manufacturer recommendations.
Two people are recommended for positioning the tub. Basic hand tools are all that's typically required for installation.
What's in the Kit
The Polar Cold Plunge includes the fully assembled cedar shell, your selected interior liner, drainage components, and installation documentation. Optional accessories and chillers vary by configuration.

Installation Steps
Prepare a Solid Foundation
Position the cold plunge on a level surface such as concrete, pavers, reinforced decking, or another structurally sound foundation with adequate drainage.
Inspect & Position the Tub
Carefully unpack the cold plunge, inspect all components for shipping damage, and place it in its permanent location before filling.
Connect the Drain
Attach the included drain fitting to a standard garden hose when desired for convenient water changes and maintenance.
Install Optional Chiller
If using a Penguin or Coldture Pro chiller, connect the supplied hoses and filtration system following the manufacturer's installation instructions.
Connect Electrical Power (Optional)
Chiller models plug into a standard protected household outlet. Ensure GFCI protection and follow all manufacturer safety requirements before operation.
Fill & Begin Cold Therapy
Fill the tub with clean water, verify proper drainage and circulation if a chiller is installed, then cool the water to your preferred temperature before first use.
The cold plunge itself requires no power —
only optional chillers use electricity.
The Canadian Timber Polar Cold Plunge operates without electricity by itself. If equipped with an optional Penguin Chiller or Coldture Pro Chiller, both units operate from a standard 110–120V household outlet with GFCI protection. The Coldture Pro also offers heating capability in addition to cooling.
