It's no secret that climbing stairs is one of the best overall work outs around. This StairClimber from Spirit Fitness has improved upon this classic exercise with superior features, durable construction and multiple pre-programmed workouts. The CSC900 is a high-level climber that provides a full-body workout second to none. In addition to being a terrific cardio workout that's easy on the joints, because it's a weight-bearing exercise, it also builds up the muscles in the entire leg along with the buttocks. The repetitive motion helps users tone their lower body while also improving the core muscles. Oh, it also helps to burn more calories than a treadmill. This climber is versatile, offers smooth stepping action and because it's a Spirit, incredibly sturdy and durable. The CSC900 exceeds expectations with a commercial-grade steel frame, a sturdy industrial drive system and ABS steps. The handlebars are padded and surround the user for a safe and secure workout. With a 21.5" width and 11" depth, this unit features one of the largest step surface areas of any commercial machine. This not only facilitates comfort, but also safety as the size easily accommodates various training positions such as side crossover steps. The size also easily enables the two-stair challenge. One stair works the quads. Two target the hamstrings and glutes. Alternate between the two for a full-leg workout. The StairClimber has a multi-window blue LED console that gives users all the information they need and want at their fingertips. Nine factory preset programs are offered against 20 levels of resistance, which because this is a Spirit, can be toggled from the handlebars. These programs include Warm Up, Fat Burning, Training, Rolling Hills, Challenge, Interval and Target (3 options available). There's also an option for Users to define and create a program. The multi-functional console includes an adjustable cooling fan and has a tablet friendly reading rack as well as an accessory tray that can conveniently hold keys, phones or an MP3 player. Contact heart rate monitoring, which makes workouts even more effective, is enabled by grasping the hand pulse sensors on the handlebars. The CSC900 has a 400 lb. weight capacity and comes with a fully illustrated owner's manual. The console displays Height Climbed, Heart Rate, Calories, Time, Steps/Minute, Total Steps and Floors. The step rate can be adjusted anywhere from 25 to 168 steps per minute. The console is Bluetooth compatible, enabling it to interact with Spirit Fit app to create more engaging workout sessions as well as saving workout data. Console includes a convenient storage compartment for keys, phone and MP3 player. Easy to clean. Simply wipe down all areas in the sweat path with a damp cloth after each workout.
